Comparting USA, a “Launch Pad” for Compart DocBridge® Innovations in North America
The New Connectivity was the theme of Comparting USA (soon to be re-titled “Comparting of the Americas” to reflect a growing customer base in central and South America). The conference, held at the Loews Minneapolis, focused on how to use technology to utilize assets and technology outside on one’s own environment through the use of APIs and a virtual docking station called DocBridge® Gear.
The New Connectivity showcased the development of DocBridge® Impress, a document composition tool designed primarily for mobile communication but fully capable of omnichannel communication. DocBridge® Impress was designed to be future proof by utilizing industry standards instead of proprietary technology. The separation of content and form is complete, with minimal formatting allowing the device used to view the document (tablet, phone, laptop, desktop) to determine the correct look and feel of the document.
The conference further introduced the North American market to DocBridge ® Gear, which was launched November, 2018 as a scalable platform for controlling and automating document processing processes according to easily definable parameters. The basic principle of DocBridge® Gear is the use of reusable worklets that stand for very specific functionalities and sub-processes. These worklets can be very granular (small, manageable processes), but also very large (multiple nested processes / consideration of various complex criteria). Nevertheless, changes in the worklets can be easily taken into account without the need for time-consuming reprogramming.
DocBridge® Gear makes it easy to configure all document creation, conversion, modification, and output processes, regardless of specific page format and/or raw data. The processes that typically accompany document processing (quality assurance, validation, workflow management, etc.) are also enabled. DocBridge® Gear is primarily targeted at omni-channel communication companies looking for a solution to seamlessly integrate different business applications. It supports both mass (batch) and one off (transactional) document delivery.
Two Roadshows Planned This Summer
At Comparting, demonstrations included leveraging the Amazon Web Services platform to initiate the delivery of a document transaction using a voice command. Insurance companies, banks, utilities are all able to include the power of DocBridge® Gear and Impress in their mobile apps.
Customer presentations from Messagepoint, on the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning to intelligently ingest, optimize, author and manage the critical content that is the foundation of customer communication; and Kubra, on the migration from pre-printed stock to white paper processing, were highlights of the conference.
“Comparting in Germany has become one of the must-attend document output conferences in Europe, with attendees coming from over a half-dozen states in the European Union. We hope to make Comparting of the Americas an event of similar stature,” said John Lynch, VP of Technology for Compart North America.
Comparting North America is planning two more “roadshow” events this summer for those interested in learning more about these new software solutions. Look for us on twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn (and follow Compart NA Marketing on LinkedIn) for more details or visit our website.
