Compart - Document- and Output-Management

Comparting 2013

The de facto Forum for Multi-Channel Document Management

The 2013 Comparting event on November 14th and 15th in the Böblingen Congress Center revolved around one question: How do we make document logistics more efficient and position it as a key contributor to a company's overall cost-cutting efforts?

Since its debut eight years ago, Comparting has grown into a major international forum for innovative document and output management. With its blend of forward-looking presentations, best practice scenarios and constructive discussion rounds with users, partners, and market analysts, the conference has evolved into a driver of innovation for integrated enterprise document processing. Attendance was higher than ever this year.

Comparting 2013 This year's focus was Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and high-volume document production (Automated Document Factory - ADF 2.0). Harald Grumser, founder and CEO of Compart, explained why the two worlds complement one another. In this context, he introduced DocBridge Domtrac, the first multi-channel document management solution to combine both areas into one system. DocBridge Domtrac offers numerous opportunities for automated and interactive workflows (releases, invoicing). It allows companies to monitor and control the collection, processing, archiving, and output of large quantities of documents in real time - regardless of their source, format, or output medium. The new solution was available in November in German, English, and French; other languages are being planned.

Comparting 2013 The international forum discussed various approaches and solutions, and high-profile users from a number of industries and countries shared their experience with expanding and updating their output management landscapes. Among the companies represented were Xerox, Commerzbank Luxemburg, and Barmenia Insurance. Kaspar Roos of InfoTrends market research kicked off the two-day forum with his presentation, "Trends and Opportunities in Customer Communications".

Other presentations included "Experience with Inkjet in Production Printing" (Canon), "Workflow and Business Process Management" (Pentadoc), "Color Management and Workflows" (Compart), along with others. Like every year, all presentations were simultaneously interpreted into English and/or German.

The next Comparting will be held October 16–17, 2014 in the Böblingen Kongresshalle.
