How do you build multi-channel output management system (OMS) and simultaneously accommodate employees with disabilities? thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG brought its traditional printing work back in-house, gradually added other services, and put in place a new technological foundation. Clearly structured workflows and a high degree of automation are standard for the new “Competence Center for Print and Digital Media.”
In 2015, when thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG brought output management back in-house, it represented a basic structural change. Instead of a traditional print shop, a company-wide Competence Center for Print and Digital Media was created, laying the foundation for multi-channel document processing.
In the meantime, the center has established itself on the market as a professional OEM service provider and is acquiring more and more contracts. At the same time, costs are dropping mainly due to better utilization of bulk mailing rates and significantly lower administrative costs. Compart DocBridge is the technological centerpiece of the scalable OM architecture.
