CSV

Files of the CSV (comma separated values) type contain table data. The column headings are usually located in the first line. Each column is separated by a semicolon or comma. A new data set is indicated by the beginning of a new line. Due to this uniform structure, the data can be read and processed automatically. The CSV format is also widely used for import and export operations into and from databases.
