PDF/A

PDF / A (PDF/Archive) is a series of standards defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) with the intention to facilitate the utilization of the Portable Document format (PDF) for the long time archiving of electronic documents. Published as ISO 19005-1:2005, PDF/A-1 specifies requirements for norm-compliant PDF documents and regulates the use of PDF / A regarding screen and print output.
