DataMatrix

A Data Matrix code is a two-dimensional barcode consisting of black and white "cells" or modules arranged in either a square or rectangular pattern. DataMatrix codes are used not only to apply permanent marks to components in production but also for document shipping, i.e. for IT franking by Deutsche Post AG or other postal services providers. DataMatrix is defined by the ISO/IEC 16022:2006 standard (Data Matrix bar code symbology specification). Compart supports creation/writing and capturing of DataMatrix codes (depending on product and license agreement).
