Customer Billing – by Mail, Email, or Web Portal
Your customers’ meter readings have been imported into your CRM system and the bills generated in your billing system. Before they can be sent out by mail or electronically, they first have to be merged with the billing data. This data either has to be printed out and mailed to your customer or sent electronically (via e-mail or Web portal) using the customer information from your CRM system.
The solution
The Compart solution pools together the data streams from the CRM and billing systems using the customer number, for instance, and generates a PDF/A document for each customer for archiving. Based on a criterion in your CRM system, this document is then either e-mailed to the customer or provided on the Web portal for the customer to download. If, on the other hand, your customer would prefer to receive bills by mail, the Compart solution collects all the relevant PDF/A files and converts these into an AFP data stream which can be printed out and mailed cost-efficiently from a central location.

Dynamic and Customized Insert Control
You want to offer your customers a targeted new tariff based on their billing information. Your marketing department has produced flyers for this containing tariffs for different target groups, which have been printed out using offset printing.
You want to add the most appropriate tariff to the flyer dynamically based on the consumption information from the bills.
The solution
The Compart solution adds OMR marks to the documents on the basis of the “consumption” information. Using this information, the folder inserter machine is then able to add the required inserts to the mail dynamically.
