Harald Grumser
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Harald Grumser is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Compart AG. Harald co-founded Compart and served as Chief Executive Officer since the company’s launch in 1992. Early in his career, Harald worked both in software development and publishing. Considered to be an expert on the new topic of PCs and microprocessors, he was widely published throughout Europe in technology publications. He then moved to IBM, where he managed a Europewide PC project for several years before becoming PC Application Manager for SOFTPRO GmbH, a Böblingen-based software company.
Harald has always been active in the document management industry and, as a founding member of the PDF/A Competence Center Executive Board, Harald is responsible for the overall coordination of the company's business activities and the acquisition of new members. Harald holds a degree in Physics from the University of Karlsruhe.
Christof Mayer

Christof Mayer co-founded Compart with Harald Grumser, and has continued to play a predominantly technical role within the organization. When the organization transitioned from a partnership to a registered corporation at the end of 2008, Christof was appointed to the Board as Chief Technical Officer, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s research and development.
Earlier in his career, Christof pursued an interest in information technology, digital electronics and early microcomputers. He consulted to IBM on projects involving the PC and mainframe technologies, as well as to other organizations on various technology-based projects.
Following this, he joined SOFTPRO GmbH, a software firm based in Böblingen, where he held the positions of Software Developer and Group Leader before collaborating with Harald Grumser to co-found Compart. Christof holds a degree in Information Science from Universität Stuttgart.
Jörg Palmer

Chief Development Officer
Jörg Palmer joined Compart in 2000 as a Project Manager. After an initial involvement in the management of software projects, his role evolved into providing support for the implementation and integration of Compart products and solutions.
In 2008, Jörg was appointed to the Board as Chief Services Officer, with overall responsibility for Customer Services. In this role, he oversaw technical and organizational support for subsidiaries, business partners, customers and prospective customers; as well as support for the Quality Assurance, Product Management, Central Marketing and Partner Management departments within Compart. In 2012, Jörg was appointed to the position of Chief Development Officer, responsible for leading the development organization within Compart.
Prior to joining Compart, Jörg worked as a developer, project manager, and product manager at AEG, where he was responsible for the design and development of automation software. He holds a certified engineer degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart.
Ron Friedman

A recognized leader in the output-technology software industry, Ron Friedman brings more than 30 years of direct sales, sales training, sales management and general management expertise. His most recent corporate position was as President and Chief Operating Officer of Group 1 Software.
During his 17-year tenure with Group 1, Ron oversaw the firm’s initial public offering (NASDAQ – GSOF), negotiated and implemented key acquisitions, directed international expansion and grew annual revenues to over $100M. Under his leadership, Group 1 achieved stature as one of the top 100 software companies in the world, earning numerous industry and financial sector awards and employing over 500 associates worldwide. In 2003, the company was sold to Pitney Bowes for in excess of $450 million.
Prior to joining Compart, Ron founded Customized Selling Solutions International, a firm specializing in sales training and management consulting.
