Program collection for the realization of individual applications in a document conversion and preparation environment

The DocBridge Mill Toolkit can be used to develop applications where documents in an input format can be converted and prepared “on the fly” or in batch mode in a required output format.

It consists of several modules and includes all programs, filters and profiles required for the development of these applications. Typical applications include the document web enabling, where documents requested by one archive client over the web can be sent to a web server where on the fly document formats are converted into a common browser format and are then sent to the archive client according to individual page requests.

The Main Benefits
  • Common programming languages
  • Self-explanatory examples
  • All formats
  • Easy integration
The DocBridge Mill Toolkit Concept

The DocBridge Mill Toolkit offers an application programming interface (API) for the development of own applications. It is available for various programming languages and can therefore be selected depending on desired application and utilised development environment. As with all DocBridge family products, the support of all current formats is ensured and can be flexibly configured. In this way you are not locked-in to the initially selected formats, but can later upgrade the application developed by you to support other input or output formats.

All core functions are consolidated in a basic module. All objects of input documents and their characteristics are converted into an independent intermediate format through format-dependent input filters. The comprehensive processing functions start here. The pages are subsequently converted into the desired target formats by means of a format-dependent output filter.

Additional Functions

Compart DocPonents

The DocBridge Mill Toolkit provides you with a comprehensive set of objects, Compart DocPonents. With their help you can comprehensively and flexibly process pages available in the intermediate format.

Self-explanatory examples

The provided examples not only demonstrate how easy conversions can be made from one format into another, but also show how various page modifications function and log messages are issued.

DocBridge Delta Module

In addition, the DocBridge Mill Toolkit also includes a DocBridge Delta Module. By means of this module you can integrate the possibilities offered by DocBridge Delta for bit-precise comparison of documents in your own applications.
